The Monmouth County SPCA along with several of our partner shelters are on scene at a Burlington County residential home where nearly 130 dogs and puppies living in deplorable and inhumane conditions are being removed from the property. When the New Jersey State Police arrived on scene they described evidence of animal cruelty inflicted upon the animals. The odor from the kennel areas outdoors and inside the home cause many first responders to experience dizziness and nausea. Unfortunately, 44 deceased dogs were found on the property and 4 dogs were found in critical condition and rushed to emergency medical facilities.
The Monmouth County SPCA has taken in over 30 dogs and puppies from this home and will now start the process of giving these animals full medical exams and treatments over the next few days. Many of these dogs and puppies have upper respiratory infections along with skin issues, overgrown nails and untreated ear infections, among other things.
Please help us give these animals the care they need by making a donation. You can also utilize our Amazon wishlist for items we’ll need to keep all of the dogs and puppies clean and comfortable. We thank you for your never-ending support to our mission to help all animals in need, we couldn’t do it without you
