DOGS FOR ADOPTION
Every pet is different and every family is different - the best way to adopt is for you and your family is to visit us, talk with one of our trained Adoption Counselors, and meet our dogs in person.

We use the ASPCA's "Meet Your Match" Program. Each dog is assessed and assigned a "canine-ality" profile (listed with each dog below- Goofball, Couch Potato, Life Of The Party etc) and that profile is used to find the best dog for you.

These are just a few of our wonderful dogs - more are at our shelter. These descriptions are only the beginning.

Busy Bee Holly is a medium-sized Chow mix who is about 4 years old. Holly loves to play and is calm and well-behaved. She knows "sit", "paw", "stay", "come", and "down". She's a gentle girl who's a real sweetheart.

Goofball Rocky is a large Hound mix who is about 2 years old. Rocky loves to play with balls, and is a good catcher. He likes people, and gives plenty of kisses. Rocky knows "sit", "stay", and "come".

Couch Potato Starr is a large Lab mix who is about 8 years old. She is a calm, gentle girl who is friendly. Starr is a little aloof until she gets to know you, and then she's quite happy to give some kisses.

Busy Bee Batman is a large Terrier mix who was found as a stray. He is about 1 year old and is quite distinguished looking. You can tell by his photo how he got his name! Batman loves to play with balls and toys. He is a happy boy who knows "sit", "stay", and "come".

Busy Bee Winnie is a medium-sized Terrier mix who was found as a stray. She is about 1 1/2 years old and is a beautiful girl. Winnie is sweet and solicits attention. She is playful and likes toys and balls. She knows "sit".

Go Getter Teddy is a medium-sized Terrier mix who was found as a stray. He is about 1 1/2 years old. Teddy knows "sit", "stay", "come", and "paw", and is an affectionate fellow. He likes to play tug with stuffed toys.

Life of the Party BonBon is a medium-sized Terrier mix who is about one year old. She's a gentle, friendly girl who loves people. BonBon was found as a stray, but must have had a loving family. She enjoys playing ball, and knows "sit", "stay", and "come".

Constant Companion Ginger and her "sister" Couch Potato Muffin are small apricot poodles whose family broke apart - no one wanted them. They are older dogs who are extremely sweet and calm. They need to be adopted together. Ginger loves laps and is a kissy girl. Muffin is a little less affectionate but is very sweet. Muffin knows "sit" and "speak". Check out Ginger in her little dress below, and a photo of the two together.

Life of the Party Kira is a medium-sized Terrier mix who was found as a stray. We think she's about 1 1/2 years old. Kira is an energetic, outgoing girl who loves people. Kira likes to play with balls and toys, and loves laps, kisses, and belly rubs. She barks from her crate, so please ask to see her outside the shelter. See her photos below; she loves attention.

Goofball Turner is a medium-sized Terrier mix who was found as a stray. We think he's about one year old. Turner is a handsome fellow who prefers people over balls and toys. He's affectionate and gives lots of kisses.

Life of the Party S'mores is a medium-sized Terrier mix who is about two years old. She was found as a stray, and is very friendly. She likes to play ball, but likes to be patted and scratched even more. S'mores really likes people, and leans into them and gives kisses. She's a big mush who has been good with children from 3-14 in her foster home. She always has a big smile on her face, and just wants to be a lap dog. Well, and to play fetch, too! S'mores would prefer to be the only pet in her family, and she'd do great with a fenced-in yard. Life of the Party Princess is a large Terrier mix who was confiscated from a less-than-ideal home. Princess recently had puppies, and is now ready to go to her new forever home. She's an active girl who loves to be petted and to get belly rubs. Princess lived up to her name in her foster home; she liked to get all the attention. Princess knows "sit" and "come". See the photo of her belly below.

Constant Companion Gabby is a young Rottweiler who was found as a stray. She is a sweet dog who loves people. Gabby couldn't be happier as long as she has someone to lean on, give kisses to, and get hugs from. She knows "sit", "down", "stay", and "come". Although she tested as a low-energy dog with us, she was reported to be active and rough in her adoptive home.
